Domain names

The most obvious and potentially most valuable domain names have long since been snapped up. That doesn't mean that there aren't still opportunities to make money from them though and one look at a site like SEDO will tell you that there are plenty of people who think that too.

You can speculatively register domains that you think may become valuable (do a quick search on sedo for the word ninja), you can buy domains that are for sale that you believe are undervalued and then resell them (especially if you identify a business use for a particular domain) or use them.

You can register domains based on popular search terms (use wordtracker or Overture or Google adwords) then park them at a site like SEDO and wait for the money to roll in. For example, according to Overture the term make money online was the subject of 44151 searches in January 2007.

Here at Cash Ninja we currently own 11 domains in total (including this one). The one that generates the most revenue was attached to a business site that is no longer running and is still receiving traffic because of that. Some of the others were registered speculatively, some for websites that have not yet been built.

Get thinking, use your imagination and maybe you can think of something no one else has and start making money from it.
